Looking at a challenge for my 50th (next year). For the 40th did 7 maras/7 days - looked tired more each day, lost weight, weathered tan in face. Took months to get jogging mojo back - none of this influencer BS.

Yesterday I ran my very first Marathon. I started with second to last wave…as I had estimated my finish time off 5 hours. More about my imposter syndrome later…😏 It was hot. Super hot. 🥵 I had been given advice about not going off to quickly, taking lots of gels…wearing expensive socks… I set off at 11:10. I started at MY pace. I ran my race in my cheap socks and with some jelly beans in my belt. People were creaming in left right and Chelsea with the heat. I just kept running MY PACE, my RACE. I weaved my way through thousands of walkers/fancy dress costumes and people staggering…oh and I stopped for an old lady wee. I crossed the line in 4:17.🏃‍♀️💫😀 I could NOT be any prouder of myself. 🏅 I SMASHED it 💪 and honestly it was the best day of my life. I didn’t want it to end. People offer so much advice. Buy this, take this, run this… YOU do YOU. You know urself better than anyone. And when people tell u to invest in expensive stuff….well invest TIME not MONEY in YOU! The miles and hours pounding the pavements of Amazingstoke and getting to know myself and how my body likes to run paid dividends yesterday. Time invested on you, will always produce better payback than money can! 👌 Thank u ALL for the incredible support, sponsorship…and encouragement. If you have never done the London Marathon…put it on ur bucket list! Anyone, ANYONE can do it!👊 #selfbelief
