@outcoldman @insta360 jpeg can be lossles with the right settings. You can still have some filesize savings, certainly when you have parts that are of a constant RGB-value, like the corners

So, @Insta360 is lying to us about the 8K videos. If you open any RAW file shot with X4 - there are two 3840 × 3840 video steams. Which will produce in total a 7680x3840 stream. But if you actually look at the stream, not all the pixels are active. Only 80% of them. If they call it 8K, and 80% of the 8K is 6.4K.
Marketing bullshit.

@outcoldman @insta360 BTW, even my normal DSLR lenses project a circle. The fact you get a rectangle as a result is because part of the circle is thrown away as the chip is only touched by a part of the circle.
If you would do that with 360 you would miss slices of the real world .......
