The 49ers WR room: Mike Evans Ricky Pearsall De'Zhaun Stribling Christian Kirk Jordan Watkins Demarcus Robinson Jacob Cowing I’m seeing a lot of people pounding the table to sign Deebo Samuel. I get it, I was doing this months ago. But who are you removing in order to sign him? Keep in mind, teams carry 5 or 6 receivers on the active 53-man roster during the season

Honestly I had no interest in the return of Deebo until I checked in on what he has been doing this offseason He looks like he’s in pre-contract shape and I’m sure this has been a humbling experience for him not being on a roster A hungry, motivated Deebo is a hard Deebo to stop I’d be down to run it back

Would you be open to the return of Deebo Samuel to the 49ers? 👀

Alex Smith on what stands out to him about Brock Purdy: “Since he’s been playing, and this is what I don’t think people realize, this guy pushes the ball downfield. When you look at the down the field from the quarterback as far as attempts, completions, accuracy, I mean this guy leads the league in the NFL every year in every one of those categories. This is the guy that battles the game manager thing. Like he’s just a product of the system. It just couldn’t be further from the truth. This guy is a phenomenal player. You want to talk about risk taker, to layer these balls over the middle and to throw it as early as he does, it takes guts. There’s trust you have to have. Unflinching trust to turn these balls loose in an NFL game. Knowing your vision’s obscured, hoping the guy is in there where he’s supposed to be, and this guy just does it time and time again. That’s a gift.” via: @sportslarryk
