Ugh these are the exact plays seared in my mind + another shai fast break

This is honestly what it felt like down the stretch last night

@ThunderChats Pretty much every point I was making. Being scared to even look at the basket when Wemby was in the paint absolutely killed us and we can’t have anymore Wiggins minutes.

My biggest adjustments: -Attack the rim, idc if Wemby blocks us 20 times, we HAVE to be the aggressor and it starts with Shai. When he started going to the rim in the 4Q on, he started to get it going and it opens up our game much more -Shrink the rotation: Shai, Dub, Chet, Ajay, Caruso is our best lineup 1000%, Dort is going to play as is IHart, Cason was good, and despite giving up size I think McCain proved he belongs. That’s kinda it tho. No more JWill, you can try Zai early and if he doesn’t have it lean McCain, and no Wiggs -Change the starting lineup: Shai, Ajay, Dort, Dub, Chet imo. You have to play 5 out against the Spurs doing the same, IHart is too slow to play in the Wemby minutes. Having Ajay out there gives you additional ball handling and an outlet on the aggressive defenses. -Chet has to guard Wemby. Yes, I know there were (plenty) of highlight plays from Wemby and many on Chet. But outside of post touches I thought Chet did a great job defending Wemby off the bounce. Show help on post touches, close out on kick outs and I think you have a better chance to contain him Despite how we are feeling rn, so many things went wrong for us other than AC going off and Dub looking like himself, and it still took 2 OT’s to put us away We are fine, we just have to make adjustments and play our game 0-0. Get game 2, at all costs. #ThunderUp

This play and at least 3 other fast breaks that we had one on one attempts and didn’t finish were killers.

Last thought before I pass out. Wemby is a damn cheat code. So many plays that he just does something no one else can do to put the ball in the basket. Reaching over people and tip ins at awkward angles. It’s going to be wild to see where he goes.

Oh and for the love of god NO MORE WIGGINS MINUTES! I know he saved basketball, I still think he has a career in the NBA, but something broke in him this season. Without his stretch in the first half we may pull this thing out

Shai will be better, Chet has to be better, Ajay will find his groove. That felt like the spurs very best punch and we still almost took it and won. See if they have 3 more of those in them. Trying to focus on hiw it felt after Denver and Indy both got game 1 on us last year

Gotta attack wemby. We let his presence shit down the O for 3 quarters. Finally started attacking and he picked up 4 fouls and we got some buckets. He’s gonna block you a lot but he’s gonna foul and give up some easy buckets because of it.
