Not so with the Mario Galaxy movie. It has a very good audience score.
You can't compare the two. The emoji movie was rejected. SMG was not.

@Stealth40k The issue is that critics are grading it like they’d grade any other movie. But with the Mario movies, they aren’t gonna spend time explaining things. You’re expected to already know the characters and the universe. These critics likely don’t know much about the games.

I did not like The #SuperMarioGalaxy movie.
I know these movies are for kids, but other animation houses somehow find a way to make kids' movies that adults can enjoy too. This isn't that.
