I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for Governor Healey's recent call to action, urging Secretary Noem to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians. This initiative demonstrates not only her commitment to justice but also compassion.

Congresswoman Pressley filed a discharge petition seeking a three-year TPS extension, requiring 218 House signatories. Thank you my Honorable Congresswoman.

The evidence is clear: Haiti is not safe to receive its nationals, and ending TPS would endanger lives and fracture families. We call on our leaders to extend TPS beyond February 3, 2026 to protect vulnerable people and uphold both our national interests and our moral values.”

As a pastor and shepherd of God’s people, my heart is heavy, yet I remain hopeful .Haiti remains in deep distress, and its people are crying out for mercy, safety, and justice.

TPS is a proven, lawful, and pragmatic tool that protects vulnerable people while allowing them to continue contributing to the U.S. economy and supporting family members abroad. We urge the Administration and Congress to extend TPS for Haiti, uphold family unity.

Haiti remains unsafe, unstable, and unable to safely receive the return of its nationals. Terminating Temporary Protected Status on February 3, 2026, would not only endanger lives but also disrupt U.S. communities, deepen humanitarian strain, and undermine regional stability.
