@2oddshapedballs @AndyfromNewHamp I recall us beating Southampton during the Covid pandemic times. After we had destroyed Chelsea at the Bridge. Maitland-Niles played pretty well, along with Mo Diagne. So we have recent good memories 😊
English

@AndyfromNewHamp We need to lift the home curse against Saints. We haven’t beaten them at The Hawthorns since 2015.
English

@JonnyDrury_Star Is it worth making a serious offer to Sean Dyche to come in for the last 11 games and if he keeps us up, then he gets a one million pound bonus!.. It's our only hope. Patel should just go for it. He would smash a few of these wimps in the dressing room!..we still have a chance.
English

Another dark weekend for Albion!
Baggies Broadcast coming tomorrow. Get those questions in #Baggies
English

@AliJones9 @Lukey_Stan13 When I first read your post Ali I thought you were mentioning Will Still, ex Saints manager!.. his brother is doing well at Watford. Maybe one last throw of the dice on Will Still. And yes, you are correct about my countryman Molumby, he's an absolute bluffer. A waste of space
English

@Lukey_Stan13 I’m sick of the love in. Played well Tuesday. Will still try no doubt. But another badge kisser
English

@EyaWeGew Never mind where the next win or even next goal is coming from. I can't even see where the next shot on goal is coming from!..the lack of creativity is truly horrific. Mowatt chewing gum all game, Molumby a headless chicken. The whole lot of them are disgusting and disgraceful.
English

I honestly don’t know where we go from here as a club. Do we stick with Mozza and hope we can grind enough results to stay up, or do we roll the dice on another gaffer and hope someone can get a tune out of this bunch. Right now I can’t even see where the next win is coming from.
It’s a horrible trait to have, conceding soft goals every week and offering nothing at the other end. When you’re like that it usually only ends one way, and everything at the minute is pointing towards relegation.
Absolutely gutted seeing what my club’s become.

English

@DanielHewittITV It will get worse yet I believe Daniel. The culture is rotten to the core. Players who think they will be on easy street in league one will get some shock and they could easily relegate the club to league two. We haven't hit rock bottom yet.
English

Getting harder and harder to find the words to describe how poor this team is. Relegation written all over them. Fully resigned to it now. #wba
West Bromwich Albion@WBA
Full-time.
English

@AndyfromNewHamp In life, you need a spirit to encourage each other and be a leader when the hard times hit Andy. It's not about skill levels or talent at this of the season. The players have gone into hiding and we won't get another point or maybe even goal this season.
English

@sjpatel212 And this time next year we could easily be saying hello to League Two if some of these players stick around. Can you imagine Mowatt chewing his gum in midfield whilst getting destroyed in Bromley whilst he still thinks he's lord of the manor. Don't start on baby Price!!
English

Dreadful recruitment, 3 different GKs, a team that can’t score, can’t defend, can’t win away, board in fighting, two managerial catastrophes & a squad devoid of quality, heart and bottle. We absolutely deserve to go down💯. What a clusterf*ck of a season. Hello League One 👋 #wba

@TheLiquidatorP1 @Neil156667 @LewisCox_star @POF_POD Ah apologies. I knew it was a good few months ago. I thought I was listening to @GoldbergRadio It was a fascinating interview in many ways, shows the owners lack football nous. I felt Shilin Patel is a well intentioned person but he needs an extraordinary amount of help.
English

@Neil156667 @LewisCox_star @TheLiquidatorP1 💯 percent. It's desperately needed Neil. More important in so many ways than all of these useless players and managers/coaches who clearly have no emotional connection with the club, bluffers. Ever since Ashworth left in 2012, we have been rudderless.
English

@Neil156667 @LewisCox_star Patel gave an interview to @TheLiquidatorP1 at the start of the season. Came across well, good intentions, seems personable but he admitted to having no knowledge of football. It's obvious he's struggling. Whatever happens this season, we need football people who know the game.
English

@corkyback @jodymcintyre_ The last I saw of him John was when we did our Leaving Cert in Macroom in 94. He didn't have any close friends in school. He was a quiet kid, smiling to himself, harmless. Had no opinions in history class (and we had some good debates!). Some of us felt sorry for him with his dad
English

@kelleherniall @jodymcintyre_ Niall that does typify him of that period a "drifter".
Its some "rags to riches" story. Have you any contact with him of recent? I understand older Irish generation in London Labour Party befriended him when he joined the party & helped him getting invol.

corkyisback John O'Neill@corkyback
@Iraqforeverlong @jimfitzpatrick @LabourParty 2/As for him being a deep Mossad plant, I wouldn't think its from this period, he would have been the most unlikely candidate at the time. He was a drifter spending time in US living with his uncle as with his aunt in London. His experience in the Kibbutz may have politicized him
English

@chrislepkowski @HisseyMatthew @LewisCox_star Absolutely spot on. Albion have been woeful in spotting any bargains in the past decade plus. Can't forget Hal Robson Kanu either to be fair!!..and am I correct in thinking Paul Scharner joined having been released by Wigan and had no club or did I get this wrong?
English

@kelleherniall @HisseyMatthew @LewisCox_star Of course, if we had a history of taking this route successfully then I'd be all over it. But effectively we don't. Pieters did reasonably well, I guess, but not many do.
English

#wba having a look at free agent market…
expressandstar.com/sport/football…
English

@chrislepkowski @HisseyMatthew @LewisCox_star All fair points for sure. I was just making the point when we are in such a dire situation as we are it's better to try something than doing nothing at all. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, that's all.
English

@kelleherniall @HisseyMatthew @LewisCox_star Yes, and he was fully fit because he'd been playing regularly and training every day with the BW 1st team. He was also an accomplished footballer at the very apex of his career. We aren't going to get that via the free market - they are usually unattached with good reason
English

@HisseyMatthew @chrislepkowski @LewisCox_star If I recall correctly didn't the Albion sign Richard Sneekes in March 1996 and he turned out to be a sensational addition late in the season, a player I adored. Every game is crucial, one player even late in the season can make all the difference.
English

@chrislepkowski @LewisCox_star Getting a player in who needs a couple weeks to get up to speed is better than not getting a player though right?
English

@corkyback @jodymcintyre_ You've summed it up there perfectly John. I honestly couldn't believe it when he resurfaced in his position in the Labour party a few years ago. He was a drifter in school. An average student at best. It scared me to see him in such a position and the media narrative created.
English

@kelleherniall @jodymcintyre_ 3/branch manager in Bandon.
They were arrested along with another international fraudster Gerard Walsh & charged with fraud. Seems Tim fled Irl & was later arrested in Eng & held in Brixton prison pending bail on fraud charges. This was all going on in Morgans teens.
What always
English

@corkyback @jodymcintyre_ Well written John. The bit about him being heavily involved in the GAA teams in Macroom is slightly exaggerated. Never did anything in PE classes in school. He couldn't tell the difference between a sliotar and an O' Neill's football! It's all part of the myth carefully crafted!
English

@kelleherniall @jodymcintyre_ 2/I'm amazed he didn't go on to 3rd level at that time which his peers did & he had the opportunity. People I have asked of him rem him as a lad big into sports, always training in the local GAA pitch pucking a ball about. He played in all the underage teams of Macroom GAA. He is
English

@corkyback @jodymcintyre_ Puppet is the correct term for McSweeney. I knew McSweeney well from my schooling years in Macroom, in the same class together. It was well known in the locality about his dodgy background even when I was a child. "Filleann an feall ar an bhfeaillaire!" as we'd say in Irish!!
English

@jodymcintyre_ Israel has targeted Brit Labour Party to control it which is amazing it wasn't Tories they sought out. What amazes me is slippery Mandleson was at very core of this & red haired boy from republican West Cork was his puppet. Axis of Israel-Mandleson-Epstein with Starmer figurehead

English

@AndyfromNewHamp Brilliant pen you write with Andy. Thoughtful, reflective, mature and balanced. The Albion have some wise supporters, I wish the owners would read your articles!!I'm 49 myself and first started support the Baggies when Giles was in charge (1985). The good times will roll again!
English

Some of the toughest times I can recall being an Albion fan, at least writing gives you cause to explain.
Here's my take on the mess we are in, and the factors behind it.
The title says it all.
'Out of Control'.

@LewisCox_star No way this group of players will keep Albion up. Time to face reality and say it that we are going down to League One. No fight, no spirit, nothing there.
English

@LewisCox_star Is it a rerun of our Cup run of 2008 when we just kept going until Pompey and Kanu cheated us out of it. Just got to keep winning!!
