Just a reminder that ALL of my success is because of God and not because of my own doing. He puts the puzzle pieces together and he also guides me to where the pieces are located.

Been trying out LinkedIn recently, and honestly I struggle to post on LinkedIn due to the superficiality of it all. And maybe I’m the grumpy grandma, the negative Nancy, the party pooper. But I just read post after post and it all encompasses the same thing. Someone sharing “value” but really it leads back to why their company was the solution. That’s not bad for a post, it’s annoying where it’s every post. But at the same time…I get the marketing, it just sometimes comes off as out of touch. Then it’s quite obvious when someone went on ChatGPT and simply typed in “I’m writing a post for LinkedIn, adjust this caption” or maybe more directly “write me a post for LinkedIn that reflects this.” On the less business pushed side, you have the young professionals who feel they can only post if they have a new job or accomplishment to promote, and if it’s not that, they’re in comments congratulating people they hope will connect them with an opportunity or just connect with them in general. All in all, maybe I’m in the wrong. Maybe I’m still trying to see social media as a media format that promotes being social and genuine, when I likely need to accept that it left us years ago. That what it is now is a giant media and marketing funnel. The new distribution channels versus major media commercials. So I get it, we’re our own commercial. I just sometimes wish I saw more personality from the individuals creating them.

The sooner you realize social media is the new TV and TV is the new radio, the more vigilant you’ll be about vetting your own timeline. Your timeline will always show your inner interests and sometimes you’re feeding yourself the very things that will destruct you.

This year, I have to put emphasis back on YouTube. I have a feeling most people’s favorite video likely isn’t a popular one. Forget virality. It’s a byproduct of impact.

How can somebody be so wise, but unsuccessful?

What is it that prevents them from being able to live in the reality of the sharpness of their mind?

Back in 2023, I was in an Uber in Vegas on the way to the Aria Hotel to be a host for the Celebrity Poker Tournament. My driver was fighting traffic and I was fighting nerves and hunger at the same time (which is a dangerous combination, trust me). I looked out the window and muttered under my breath, “Man, people really don’t know how to drive.”

To which my driver responded, “Yeah, well that’s quite easy to say when you have the luxury of observing.”

I quickly whipped my head around, confused, embarrassed, and slightly annoyed.

“Oh, I wasn’t talking about you, I meant –”

“I know what you meant,” he laughed, “I’m joking with you, but it’s often easier for us to cast judgement when we choose not to participate in the hand we’ve been dealt.”

I think we often come to the conclusion that in order for someone to find success, they had it all figured out, or maybe figured out differently than everyone else.

The truth is, the greatest ideas are likely in the graveyards we often drive by or maybe even live with. They’re the potential we tell ourselves we’ll do tomorrow or when we have it all prepared to start. We spend more time researching the perfect way to do it or all the mistakes to avoid, that we end up analyzing, reviewing, adjusting, and perfecting so much that analysis paralysis becomes the lover of our own dreams.

Many of the most successful people in the world don’t spend time dwelling on the hand they were dealt. In all honesty, they spend most of their time ensuring they’ll never experience it again. They act versus sit. They don’t care how well it gets done at first, they just make sure it gets done at least once.

Now here’s the part you probably weren’t expecting.

The driver and the passenger are two sides of the same coin. When it comes down to it, they can’t relate to each other. In that moment, you need the less wise to become sharper from the wise and the wise finally bring their wisdom to life.

Because only the driver has the ability to know what it feels like to be a passenger.

But not all passengers know how to drive.
And wisdom that never moves becomes nothing more than observation.

I was at a networking event the other day, which I seldom go to. They’re not inherently terrible, I’ve just learned most people treat it as a literal way to build your network, but not truly understand a person.

So as I was sifting through the room, trying not to accidentally knock over a phone with a LinkedIn QR code pulled up or interrupt an interrogation being had about what somebody does, I ran into an old acquaintance I hadn’t seen in nearly a decade. Or ever at all.

“What a small world this has to be.” I thought to myself.

We started to catch up, see how life had played out for the both of us, and how we both somehow made the decision to show up to the same place at the same time.

As we were discussing and I was genuinely listening, he said something that I realized actually plagues a lot of people.

“...and if a millionaire tells you something, you have to listen.”

As unfortunate as it felt, I had to interrupt.

“No, not always.”

I’ve found this to be a recent trend online where someone’s success precedes their reputation, which is fair, but it shouldn’t make their experience a defining factor of your situation.

I was 19 years old when I made my first million dollars and I didn’t even know what it meant to be in a relationship.
Nor run a company,
Or understand taxes.

And when I did experience my first heartbreak, I would’ve given all my money away to heal it (thank God I didn’t). I don’t know who needs to tell you this, but just because someone has monetary success, does not automatically mean that they’re credible.
I do believe you should learn from individuals that are in a position you would like to be in, but maturity is understanding success is more than monetary value.

Success is experience. It’s peace. It's wisdom.

When you see someone who can wake up with a smile on their face, speak with quiet confidence, and care less about making money and more about creating impact. You know you’ve found the right person to learn from.

After further review of the YouTube video I was scheduled to release today, my team and I agreed that the subject matter may feel a bit heavy for a Christmas Eve upload. With that in mind, I will be moving the YouTube release to a later date. Likely December 27. Thank you all, I promise this is the most important video I've ever made for those who trade or are interested in trading. And it’s not one of those “new strategy” mumbo jumbos, it’s real information you NEED to hear. I don't want you to miss this, but I do want to be sensitive to the times.

I’ve never sold a course, personally it’s a bad word to me. It’s not a bad thing to do, it’s just not something I feel everyone should do. I’ve spent a lot of time in thought about a lot of things. Most recently (and maybe famously) the online trading industry. I feel like I’m an echo chamber. I speak on it, then the thoughts get quieter and quieter…until I speak again and eventually, get tired of speaking at all. In the business of making money, you will always have people who only care about making money so they transition into the business of “helping” people make money. Under false pretenses to the people, I should add. With institutions, you have to convince them you’re worth investing in… But with people, the more vulnerable they are, the easier they are to sell to. Exploit their suffering. Feed them their insecurities. Tell them you’re the solution. The brainwashing is done before they even noticed it, but after their credit cards have registered it. So I’d wrestle with the thought of speaking out, start to doubt myself, then stare at the ceiling fan with dust building up almost as a metaphor to my delay. I’ve sat in rooms, phone calls, meetings, and tested territories of what goes on behind the scenes. Only to realize one thing: Growing a platform doesn’t give you money. It gives you access. And what I think, is that it’s time I let everyone in. Let’s do this the right way. Even if it’s uncomfortable. See you Wednesday, 2:30pm CST on YouTube.

Like this isn’t a celebration of a wholesome social media interaction still fruitful 10 years later or the celebration of her beating cancer despite losing her husband and still being happy enough to continue the tradition, it’s always a ploy to cancel the success of something.

The average consumer doesn’t know how to use AI to their advantage. They spend more time resisting it or fully relying on it, versus using it to propel them. It’s quite frustrating because it’s incredibly obvious to those that understand and ultimately makes them look dumber than necessary. I love AI, just wish more people understood the benefit.

The greatest thing you can do if you want to work for yourself is work for somebody else. Then adopt the mindset that you will always be working for somebody else. Whether you’re an owner, employee, or parent.
