@DZI_WWFC Spot on, On the whole Duff got the tactics right for 70 mins. But this persistence with a back 5 is where the fan base are losing faith with his direction. We invited the pressure when we reverted to this. Even more so when we have a flat footed Connor Taylor!

People will unnecessarily hate on this interview just because he’s not coming out saying it’s a fucking shambles, I made the point after the game yes we (somehow) lost the game, but there were a lot of positives in the first hour and we played them and bullied them physically off the park. Fully agree with him regarding we ran out of legs (Woodrow in particular) but for me he should have come off instead of Lowe at least Lowe would have maintained us having an outlet to hit when winning the ball back deep. I do also understand that Bolton were committing a lot of bodies onto their last line meaning Duff changed to a back 5, but the more bodies they’re committing forward and the more they have to chase the game the more it opens up space on transition for us to exploit so for me I would have been bringing on Junior when they started committing more bodies forward. Would have helped us in transition and he now has the awareness of his defence responsibilities to drop into a situational back 5.
