If you misgender someone even though they're a horrible person you're still an asshole by the way.
You're treating identity as a privilege that can be taken away.
You don't get a free pass to misgender someone just because you feel like they "deserve it".

A graduate at Allen High School in Texas proudly displays the PaIestinian flag on stage as she receives her diploma, only for staff to try to rip it away. She was police-escorted out of the graduation ceremony but it didn’t stop her from celebrating.
