We try to but the problem is, many of them are Methodists. Which means they’re easily offended. A few years ago I dressed up like a Methodist for Halloween, at which point Terra and her wife G unfriended me on Facebook.

The problem with AI (and all Technology) is a problem of presence. AI. An be at your fingertips yet is a false presence. A false ghost with a voice. That can be helpful, but we cannot allow it to become primary.

The freedom of Christ is that rather than having to constantly plot, scheme and plan your way to unpredictable success you can instead converse with Dad anytime you want and just obey what He says to do. It’s so simple it’s hard.

The advantage humans have over tech is the ability to perceive a plethora of cross-contextual messages and evaluate them all simultaneously as a cacophony of connected messages. Tech will never (NEVER) be able to achieve simultaneity. It's a fundamental problem of binary systems.

I'm not inherently opposed to ABS challenges, but mechanizing life is a dangerous slope we are on. Mechanistic tech has no ability to account for rich context, no ability to 'move' inside the moment. A single slice of a pitch/plate/player interaction does not correctly measure.

The greatest drive of all mankind is for new novel adventures, because we have lost the ability to have truly new experiences, we have lost our story's novelty.

Hot take: Challenge culture in sports (ABS/ Flag / Tags) will have a significant impact on further eroding the trust of those in our lives who are authority figures in regards to culture and conduct. Cameras and technology bring about decontextualized “certainty”.

A Witness does not deeply explore the purpose of action beyond those explicit to the experience, he may see & understand those purposes, but they are not a prerequisite to his duty as witness. Ergo; “come see a man” may be a truer witness than a dissertation on the love of God.

Most Christians have confused Witnessing as “logically explaining”, a telling-to others. But Witnessing is a 2-fold process, it is experiencing and then relaying that immersive experience and the effects of that experience. Not logically, but contextually.

The audacity to think it not robbery to be equals with God and to boldly enter His throne of Grace despite our loved hypocrisy and to demand a witness on the grounds of sonship through Jesus, is the most audacious thing a person can do.

This continual witnessing is not a logical derivative of the preceding word of God, but a witnessing of the Kairos Rhema, the right now speaking of God into their immediate context and moment in time.

The audacity of the Christian should be their defining characteristic. The boldness to continually return to the Holy of Holies in their heart to witness & converse with the Creator. Then return to the world to live out the awesome revelation they have seen and heard from YAHWEH.

We used to have this amazing cheeseburger food truck. Then they made it big and moved away to start a brick and mortar store. Sometimes when I drive by, I glance over to where he used to sit. Thinking maybe he’ll come back one day. But he’s never there. He’s gone.
