I love It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), especially Buddy Hackett's masterful delivery of, “Except you, lady! You can just DROP DEAD!!!” and the montage before intermission with that plane stunt, which is easily one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever seen in a movie.

I genuinely do not understand people who watch reels, etc. on their phones with volume on in public or common spaces and don't think that is a nuisance to others. I was at my dr's office a couple of days ago and there's a woman, sitting in the lobby, watching a newscast on her phone at full volume, oblivious to the rest of the room. It's not like we don't have the technology for people to carry headphones/airpods, or watch with closed captions if your battery is low or you forgot them at home. Who does this?

Such a shame that Robert De Niro and Quentin Tarantino didn’t get along on the set of Jackie Brown and will probably never work together again. For me, it’s one of the best performances of De Niro’s career.

Regardless of your politics or your opinion of the president, this is compelling testimony from Laken Riley’s mother that everyone should hear and then decide what to do with it. The parents and families of innocent victims deserve to be heard in this country. Each person can decide what to do with the message, but we should be willing to listen and it is newsworthy.
