Kenya is about to pay KSh 10 BILLION to a company that no longer exists. And it gets worse, we could end up paying KSh 30 BILLION. Here’s how: In 2013, KETRACO awarded a €24.5M contract to a Spanish firm, Inabensa, for the Lessos-Tororo power line. The CS energy then was Davis Chirchir. The project collapsed in 2016. In 2019, an arbitration ruled Kenya must pay. By 2022, the Supreme Court upheld it. The bill has now ballooned to ~KSh 10B with interest. BUT, Inabensa went bankrupt in Spain weeks after winning the case. Then it was dissolved. Now multiple parties are circling the same money: -Inabensa owners -Another Spanish firm claims the rights -Insolvency administrators (Ernst & Young) can claim too. All while KETRACO’s accounts (NCBA, KCB, Co-op, Citi, Standard Chartered) are already being frozen Meaning this: 👉 Kenya doesn’t even know WHO to pay 👉 Pay the wrong party, and you STILL owe others 👉 Total exposure? Up to KSh 30 BILLION Think about that for a moment. Leaders like Chirchir signed bad deals in 2013, etc. They stay in office till today. Kenyans then have to pay the price using their taxes. We need a law: If your decision costs the country billions, you should NEVER hold public office again. Because this isn’t just incompetence. At this level, it starts looking deliberate.

A friend of mine ordered some tickets from @airfrance for their family trip to the French Alps... But airfrance took the money by false pretences, then made the family pay double the price of the tickets... This is what happened... On 30 th January 2026... "My husband booked premium economy return tickets with @airfrance from Nairobi (NBO) to Paris (CDG) for the four of us... A family trip Booking reference YEMDYP.. The total cost was USD 6,096.08 paid by visa card... Everything was confirmed- I.E flights, non- refundable hotels (Pullman Paris Bercy, Kaya Reberty) TGV transfers, ski passes and ski school for the two children... On 24 march 2026 at 18:38 EAT, an automated email popped up from @airfrance saying they had initiated a refund of only USD 175.40 per ticket... Later i discovered our entire booking has been cancelled without our knowledge or permission. I immediately called @airfrance , and the so called agent confirmed the cancellation had been submitted online at 6:37 pm, and said the only way was to buy another ticket which was twice the price... Premium economy was sold out, the only option was economy.. I had no choice because i promised my family a retreat in France... I had to pay EUR 8,143 remember i had paid USD 6,096.... The following day at Charles de Gaulle, @airfrance staff told us, not just telling us they insisted " we cancelled it online" I never did that... and told us to file a complaint. 😮‍💨😓 This was not a simple mistake, someone had access to our booking data (contact details, PNR and names) how did they access this information? Back in 1999, i was working with @AirFranceFR and i know how easy it is for booking agents or insiders to cancel seats for them to pocket the huge profits.. @airfrance systems are the only place they have this sensitive data, They failed to protect it, they also processed the fake cancellation and then forced us to buy new tickets at inflated amounts.. With all this said, i have now sent a formal Letter Before actiontoI have now sent a formal Letter Before Action to @airfrance customer Relations department demanding... 1.Detailed explanation and system logs showing who cancelled the bookings 2.Full refund of the tickets (EUR 8,143) 3.Compensation of the downgrade and distress.. 4. confirmation of any data breach.. We have also reported this matter at Karen Police station in Nairobi... @airfrance you have 14 days to respond, if you don't, we will file a complaint to the... 1. the French data protection authority (,CNIL) 2. the travel ombudsman, chargeback via my card issuer and civil proceedings... @airfrance take this very serious
