なるほどねー。MCPを一つ一つ呼びながら進めるのではなくて、その場でスクリプト書いてPromise.allで並列処理して一発で終わらせる、と。
トークン効率は改善し、もちろん遅延も減る
その場で瞬時に考えてスクリプトをimproviseできるエージェント時代のAPI設計、怒涛の変化がくる予感しかない…

Just shipped something I'm really excited about in @𝗇𝗎𝗑𝗍𝗃𝗌/𝗆𝖼𝗉-𝗍𝗈𝗈𝗅𝗄𝗂𝗍: Code Mode. The idea: instead of the LLM calling your MCP tools one at a time (and resending ALL tool descriptions every single round-trip), it writes JavaScript that orchestrates everything in one go. Loops, conditionals, Promise.all, real control flow, not 8 separate LLM turns. With 50 tools the token savings are insane: -81% on tool description overhead alone. And the best part? Your existing tools don't change at all. @devhammed @nummanali @mlevy02 Minio is dead last year btw. I rewrote my own S3 Mock (not Adobe ver) with Codex, which wasn't possible before AI. Crazy times.

Cloudfare R2 also supports S3 API, Digital Ocean Spaces too, Google Cloud Storage too.

It’s cool that Bun is adding these features but what is Bun turning into?
It’s no longer just a faster JavaScript runtime
It’s becoming a platform right?
Also makes you wonder how much of this is influenced by the needs of Claude Code

A few people asked me to make an image of how much irrigated farmland would use the same water required for ALL ChatGPT usage, including every part of the process. I did a botec and my best guess right now is that inference uses about as much water as training, and power generation uses ~5x as much water as the data centers themselves, so it looks something like this. The water cost of manufacturing chips is marginal compared to how much water they use over their lifetimes.
