@supabase 3 hour+ outage? Absolutely crazy. No possibility to purchase/add failover systems for backup servers with read and write? Also insane.

@digitalshane_ at least we can laugh about it together right... so annoying and no way to promote a read replica easily. RDS multi-az definitely shines when it comes to this. Used it for 10 years without any down time.

With the existence of Inertia.js, I really think you've got to be a masochist to try and build delightful, interactive apps without using a framework designed for UI to build the UI. It's just such an uphill battle otherwise, and I don't understand why you'd do it.

The Elevator Pitch
Could someone else demo your app in an elevator and land the sale?
Frank (my brother) recently had the opportunity to sit down an extremely big creator for a new podcast episode.
After the episode, Frank had around 56 seconds to show him @Clipflowco .
(Shout out to Frank for looking after the lads.)
My biggest concern was that Frank and his team don't use Clipflow (yet) so I had to give him a crash course on what the core features of Clipflow are.
But thankfully, after working with so many users, we really understand the core problems Clipflow solves and the standout features (like media review and team task lists).
So it was simple to give Frank a high level overview of what Clipflow does.
This really highlights the importance of solving one problem and keeping your application simple.

I've been building @Clipflowco - a project management app for creating content with a team for 687 days. This is what happened in Week 98.

The Fizzy test suite runs in UNDER FOUR SECONDS! Nearly 2,500 assertions. The magic is to lean hard on vanilla Rails fixtures and parallel test runners. Not only is this blazingly fast, but it's also achingly beautiful. github.com/basecamp/fizzy…

🚨 Introducing Clipflow 🚨
Stop forcing video workflows into spreadsheet era tools.
We built Clipflow because managing content as a business with a team in generic project tools is broken.
Everything apps make you set up 10 automations just to get the team producing, planning and reviewing in sync.
When we started building our brands with content, we realised how fragmented everything was and said no.
Try it free for 14 days and experience what 'purpose-built' means for your business at fllw.li/try14daysfree

@nateberkopec Can confirm that working with @nateberkopec is epic - we did it for our first company when we first started having performance issues

@pvvsok You would be surprised. We ran tests to specific landing pages and our website outperformed them. We are going to try again at some stage but it’s definitely not as black and white as you think

After building a software business (again) for 665 days, I've had my 450th anxiety attack.
My Vibe Coding Dilemma
I almost had a mental breakdown this week and I had to pause and reflect on why I was getting so anxious.
Darrell had vibe coded a demo on top of our Clipflow code that had over 50 different features and he had done it in 2 days.
This should be a very exciting experience but for me it created mountains of anxiety and I put my guard up.
Have you ever experienced this and how have you dealt with it?
