Kakamega tunakuja.
@DanChepta Our leaders are the best actors. How does sitting in class with kids and having lunch with them promote education? They love to show off just for the cameras.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has told MPs that the government lacks a definitive figure on the cost of educating a child through Kenya’s education system, a disclosure that has raised concerns over the credibility and accuracy of education sector budgeting. #starkenyanews
@Bookten8 Threatening principals with dismissal doesn't magically create the funds needed to feed students, pay suppliers, or maintain facilities. If the government hasn't fully disbursed capitation funds, they are essentially asking schools to operate on thin air.
The government has issued a blistering ultimatum to school principals: admit all Grade 10 students by Friday or face immediate dismissal, declaring that lack of fees or uniforms is no longer an excuse for keeping learners out of classrooms
@thee_alfa_house It is deeply concerning to see a complex educational crisis met with a "compliance-or-consequence" ultimatum. While the goal of 100% transition is noble, this heavy-handed approach by the government ignores the logistical and financial realities that keep school gates closed.
@NelsonHavi It is high time that we focus on key aspects of education: Creativity and Innovation. And the ministry and agencies responsible should have forward looking priorities.
There is no way Kenya can develop with an education system that produces men and women who can ONLY be employed by: NYS; KFS; KWS; NPS; KDF; and Affordable Housing. Get my point: ONLY be employed!
I strongly condemn the barbaric use of tear gas on peaceful worshippers at Witima ACK Church in Othaya, Nyeri County, where former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his team were worshipping. What should have been a moment of prayer was turned into fear, forcing men, women, children, and the elderly to flee the house of God. No Kenyan should ever face such treatment while exercising their faith.
This incident is a clear violation of the constitutional freedoms of worship, assembly, and movement. Those responsible must be independently investigated and held accountable without delay. Kenya must always choose dialogue, the rule of law, and respect for its people, not fear and force!
SHAME ON YOU AFRICA:
The US senators called for sanctions on Gen. Muhoozi after he sent soldiers to invade opposition leader Bobi Wine's home, while AU chairman Mahmoud Ali Youssouf hasn't uttered a word apart from congratulating M7 for reportedly winning the elections. Africa has a long way to go; how can Western nations see mistakes in our own countries, yet our leaders aren't bothered? We remember vividly what happened in Tanzania after elections - the same AU chair went ahead to congratulate Samia Hassan amid the killings that took place. I've never understood why all African leaders are greedy for power; once they rise to higher-ranking positions in government, they no longer wish to retire of their own free will.
To change Nairobi to be like this itakua war. You'll be fought by hawkers, slums dwellers, Matatu cartels, those with illegal business besides the roads na cartel wa kuokota takataka. Then illiterates wa kusema "our community is being targeted."
MPs trying to look like saviours by declaring free Secondary School fees in constituencies.
Stop receiving the CDF bursaries & let that go to subsidize schools directly
All schools in the country will be free
