@Streamer_Leera and I would finally like to introduce our daughter, Baby Ishi. Born Friday, March 18, 2022; she was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 19.25 inches long. Ishi’s favorite things are sticking out her tongue, listening to daddy’s voice, and trying to nom mommy’s chin.

@LessThan3Man @PleasantKenobi They also tied their card sets to the lore in a way Yugioh didn’t. The characters used the cards, but the characters drove the story in yugioh, with a handful of lore-central cards as highlights for merchandising.

@LessThan3Man @PleasantKenobi Yeah, this is a better articulated way of communicating what I was saying. I remember how good the Mirrodin sets were. Now it’s just pushing out new card sets with a thin coat of lore paint. GW comparatively has very slow new releases, and more chance to craft lore for it.

GW made their Warhammer lore into an entirely separate profitable product line of novels. Why did Magic struggle to do this? What is it about Magic's world that never managed to make it to a TV show like Yugioh, or an New York Times best selling novel series like 40k?

@brclothwrites The most fun I’ve ever had was building block towers with my kid. They change how you look at things. Halloween is a blast. Doctors appointments are reassuring. Bathtime is hilarious. The extra laundry is tedious but I find I don’t mind it.

Is being a parent worth it? Sometimes I think I’d make a wonderful dad, and wish I was one…And then I think about Halloween, doc appts, music recitals, bath time, extra laundry, and suddenly I’m like 🥴✅.

@rRubiks Please only use the compendium app to look things up. Googling anything at all will spoil big deal stuff later in the series and really worsen the experience. The app can give you only info up until your current book.

@katieemorann The paradox of talent is that the most gifted tend to be the least accomplished because they never have to challenge themselves to be “good”. Those that have to work at something tend to excel at it. If you cut the cocoon the butterfly cannot fly.

I always get people telling me how articulate I am and I don't think anyone really understands how much I overcome to even be coherent -started speech therapy at 3 years old (had a speech impediment and fluid built up in my ear as well as a Barbie earring inside it that had to be removed) -had severe pain and trauma response to speaking out loud, speaking causes me physical pain in my body as well as emotional -labeled as suffered from "disorganized thoughts" -was clinically diagnosed as "lacking insight" -was inaudible and sounded like I would cry when speaking for a few years from severe anxiety -obsessive thoughts of people sending me hate Why let anyone or anything stop you? The possibility of sharing something someone needs to hear to feel less alone or be reminded of hope matters more than what we have to overcome
