@kensyngon The theme is not out there at all. It is just generated there and then by Aether. I'll link you the WP soon

@kensyngon @iamdothash It's your system you can do it right now, you don't have to wait 😅

I regularly use ai. It's just these dumb takes. People code by hand all the time. In fact, my assumption that it is still the dominant form of meaningful code production today.

BIG LIFE UPDATE: I'm moving to Berlin! 🇩🇪📢

@mischavdburg @nvidia I disagree! On 1-3 one.
1. Doesn’t matter how much you’re good with your soft skill if you don’t have experience nobody going to hire because you have soft skills.
3. Again without tech skills or experience doesn’t matter how much you have reference or networking.
English

We just had a 2 hour workshop with a senior DevOps & software engineer working at @nvidia in KubeCraft.
He dropped an insane amount of gold in that workshop but here are some key points he shared:
• soft skills matter MUCH more than tech skills
• all of is good jobs were landed through referrals
• networking is everything
• commit to life-long learning and never get complacent
• linux fundamentals are non-negotiable
• AI only works as an amplifier of skills, if you don't have skills, there is nothing to amplify
• AI coding tools are useless in the hands of people who don't have a baseline level of skills
• he was able to 2x - 3x his work when he fully embraced AI coding tools but he sees many people of his rank lagging behind on that area

@kensyngon @iamdothash I used Aether on OhMyDebn to search wallhaven for “Back to the Future”. Aether then extracted the colors and built the theme. Kudos to @iamdothash for how easy Aether makes this!
English

@dougburks @iamdothash This is cool what is the wallpaper and theme ?
English

@iamdothash I think with themes, one of the most annoying thing is not having more colours in the codes, we barely seeing //comments on the code. And having one or two extra colours would be even more beautiful
English

@mischavdburg Great idea! Some(most) people are just poor or lost in reality and your background would be great inspiration for those struggling really to get into tech or taking control of their life, very important meaningful action you would take.
English

@kensyngon I’m planning to make more content about it, thanks to comments like these , it seems people want to hear those stories

The best way to rediscover who you are is burning everything down.
You have to reset your life.
You have to let go of everything you were, everything you had, every lie you told yourself.
I was at the worst point in my life.
I could not relax without consuming alcohol.
I needed to smoke marijuana to fall asleep.
I had no control over my work schedule.
Being dependent on substances and having no control over
the work I did was the worst time I've experienced.
One night, staring up at the sky, blind drunk after my first bottle of vodka that day, I decided I had enough.
And I turned my life around.
I pictured the life I wanted:
I wanted to be sober.
I wanted to work from home.
I wanted to work in the tech industry.
9 years later:
I've been sober for seven years.
I'm a Senior DevOps Engineer.
I don't have a boss. I'm a successful business owner.
I'm in complete control of what I work on, where I work, and who I work with.
You can restart any time you want.
Any time you have the strength.
Your reality must break before your path becomes clear.

I use Jot by @iamdothash as a notepad alternative in Omarchy
Wouldn't it be better if jot cached the text i typed for 5 minutes before invalidating them?
prompting me to reopen the cache or create new if I had mistakenly closed the window
Working On that feature now.

@ForrestPKnight I don't think any theme can replace Catppuccin and Ristretto
English

@iamdothash @rblalock In certain case or certain wallpapers doesn’t extract the colour just u to know. U can test out on v1 ultra killer
English

@rblalock Yes, using the extract button, it will run pywal and grab the colors.
English

@maxberggren @iamdothash Look cool! Ill definitely try out for at least todo list :)
What about if we could change the background?
English

Went all in whimsical GTK note taking app after forking @iamdothash Having so much fun!
yay -S jotite
English

@iamdothash It would be so cool if we could know which colour is changing which part of the theme, for example cherry pick for waybar or adding extra colours for Lazyvim, vscode, terminal etc
