This year marks the 51st commemoration of the Gibbs-Green tragedy at Jackson State. We at the Center on Fri., May 14, 2021, will host a virtual gallery talk on our FB page. On Sat., May 15, 2021, the class of 1970 will have the opportunity to have their graduation commencement.

#OTD in 1968, the Civil Rights Act was enacted by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Also known as the Fair Housing Act, this legislation made it a crime to discriminate against race, religion, disability, or familial status specifically regarding housing opportunities.
