Opinion: Manga is fundamentally about story.
The art is just the surface means the artist has to convey the story.
Storytelling is the engine by which a creator drives the story, and separate from art and story.
Art will attract readers, but only storytelling can make a good story great (and a bad story decent).

rly can't emphasize enough how much studying movie writing + novel writing has helped with my own comic works many online manga/webtoon tutorials neglect writing and focus only on art, but character and plot writing are incredibly important please don't neglect it
