Can second this. Had to abandon ElectronNET because it was stuck on 5 or 6 and I had already moved to 7 for other features I needed. Now it's on 8, but it took awhile. I don't fully understand netstandard or what it's role is supposed to be now, but I *thought* it was supposed to serve as a version agnostic bridge or option to write C# code regardless of plugging into .net framework 4.8 or .net core, or .net 8+ - the inheriting project wouldn't care. Right now, I have to carefully multi-target because I don't know another way (yet)

I never thought about this, but #dotnet MUST stop creating different versions every year. Unless something is fully broken Microsoft needs to have a framework that will work now and in 10 years This yearly release makes no sense. New features? Integrate them early and increase the minor version.

@Carlos74962907 @SkiaSharp We can do both! SkiaSharp is our current renderer and we're keen to contribute there where we can. At the same time, we're exploring what else is possible. It's about adding options, not replacing what works.

I made a self-updating .NET AOT CLI for working with @freshdesk - ships on Windows, OS X, Linux. Sits at about ~10Mb in size. Will check for updates based on the latest GitHub releases in the repo where I publish it. Pretty slick!

I love functional languages and expressive type systems but I'm tempted by go thanks to it's single binary deployments. I hate dealing with DevOps stuff and that seems the most elegant solution.

@DanielW_Kiwi @NathanielElkins Single file deployments are only relevant if you're distributing your stuff to other users and want to deliver one executable. For backend applications containerization should be your first port of call in my opinion.

Israel clearly cares more about Palestinians than Hamas does (a trivial achievement since the latter has no regard for the lives of their own people - none whatsoever). Gaza would've been levelled to the ground by now if genocide was the goal.

Why even complain about the US not providing precision bombs if "indiscriminate killing" is the goal? Where's the genocidal intent in her words? Some takes on this conflict are utterly delusional, seen through the simplifying lens of "Israeli bomb killed civilian => Israel bad!".

Hey @tomasgrosup @vzarytovskii what branch should I be checking to try the nullness stuff out? I'm checking out feature/nullness, and the FSharp.Core stuff looks like it's there but I can still do e.g. let x : string = null without any warnings in FSI.
