The “stand-up“ moment in the SOTU is being much ballyhooed in the press, as it should be.
Another dramatic moment was when Trump said the Democrats tell “lies“. There was a hush and an “oooh”, however brief.
This was a strong and audacious word to use in the sotu setting. But Trump got away with it, because so many people know it’s true, and because people sense his honesty and (I will say) good and pure intentions, despite the Democratic mantra to the contrary.
I pray Trump is the person I think he is, behind his bluster and idiosyncrasies, and that he succeeds in cleaning up the dishonesty and corruption of the elite cabal that seeks to control our world for their benefit, and with disdain for the good and peace of the general population.

This administration and @AGPamBondi
remain focused on bringing everyone involved in attacks on houses of worship to justice, including those who provide funding.

Extreme bureaucratic regulatory oppression and wealth confiscation (moving capital allocation from highly competent entrepreneurs to incompetent government) is why Europe has been economically slowly strangled over the past few decades!
Fools like this guy do not understand that they are the cause of Europe’s pain.
There no wealth to reallocate when they prevent it from being created in the first place.

Elon Musk is doing more good with that money than a bunch of Euro fascists ever could.

Imagine how much good the European Union could do for the world with just half this money

The Help America Vote Act requires states to purge inaccurate voter rolls & maintain them.
@TheJusticeDept is helping by exercising its duties under civil rights laws to ensure federal law is followed & voters have confidence and fair elections.

The goal of @SpaceX is expansion of consciousness to the stars so that we may understand what questions to ask about the answer that is the Universe

Remember SpaceX was publicly clear that its goal was Mars even before the first Falcon 9 even flew There should be even more companies driven by civilization-scale visions

I think President Trump blames Venezuela for Tren de Aragua. He thinks Maduro has emptied his prisons and asylums and sent those people to America. Trump probably views these as equivalent to acts of war, even if nobody complained at the time. Trump would probably view the past nationalization of the Venezuelan oil industry more favorably, if it had been put to better use for the benefit of the people, prosperity, and democracy in Venezuela. Instead, he sees those resources as having been turned against the US, towards crime, corruption, and drugs. By making a statement with Venezuela, Trump is sending a message to perhaps a half dozen other countries in the region that the United States prefers neighbors like El Salvador, where drugs and crime are frowned upon. I think President Trump will accomplish his goals through strength and by offering Venezuela opportunities for business, prosperity, and peace. Can you imagine a relatively drug free America, with greatly reduced crime, drug culture, and homelessness, by addressing the flow of drugs across our southern border? More welfare is not going to solve these problems. What is it we want exactly in America? This national security policy and this approach by President Trump make sense and are reasons he has my support.

@RandPaul I like Rand Paul, but don’t know why he keeps saying that. Tariffs result in a higher price on imported goods, which gives domestically produced goods an advantage.
English

Remember: Tariffs are just taxes that are passed on to consumers aka the American people.

@RandPaul Tariffs aren’t the taxes I always heard about in history, it was tax on tea and paper. I think Rand is stretching it a bit to say “no taxation without representation“ was about tariffs.
English

It’s in our DNA. Americans rebelled against taxation without representation - including import taxes (aka tariffs)

@cb_doge Great, but it is hard to see how X is the media now if you have to flip through so much low quality posts and repeated or dated information to get the latest news. I would rather flip through headlines at five news sites. X needs some sort of “today’s news” format.
English

Elon Musk just confirmed X now has ~1,200 employees, down from ~8,000 at Twitter. That is about 85% fewer people and the app is now 100 times better.
The media said it would die when Elon bought it. Now it is the #1 News App.
