New AlphaFold page. 40k protein structures aligned against 8 proteomes using #FoldSeek from the @thesteinegger lab. The top 25 alignments per species are precomputed and integrated with UniProt annotations. Takes v5, v4, UniProt, or gene symbol as input. maizegdb.org/foldseek/su1

My EXCITING 1st day of the semester: the printer didn't work so I couldn't print the attendance sheet, campus wifi broke so I couldn't get access to the course slides on the box drive. I started the class 10min earlier than scheduled and only knew it at the end of the class😅

@PhDVoice @PostdocVoice Many suggestions, though kind-hearted and valuable they are, fail to consider how hard it is for extreme introverts to even start a conversation with strangers. I'm an introvert, though perhaps not an extreme one. I do feel the pain.
