Until then, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and wish you every joy of the wonderful place that is Holme Bird Observatory and the NOA’s other unique reserves.
Sophie. (🧵6/6)
It is with heavy hearts that the Council of Trustees has to announce that due to continuing ill health Sophie has made the difficult decision to step down as Warden at Holme Bird Observatory. Sophie has provided us with a farewell message to share with you all (🧵1/6):
@aquilabirding@IreneBoston2@SwarovskiOptik Unfortunately did like them but the after care was crap . 3 times my went back and couldn't fix them didnt offer me any money back for them or gave me a new a pair . Wich they should off so I dont trust them anymore
Grayling seems to have quietly disappeared from almost all the places I used to find it. The only ones I saw this year were a couple at Cley, back on 17th July. How much longer can they cling on here?
Here, there and everywhere but the Booted Eagle eventually gave itself up big time at Kelling near the garden centre. Managed to catch up with it again at Bayfield but more distant. Time for a beer!
On the face of it a good point
But as a game it was dire
Few chances of note. Bracknell apart from early 2nd half unimpressive
Our attacking ploys were almost all aerial via Gold nod ons, Sass long throws or from dead ball
Margetts starved
The passing on the deck sub standard
Pity I went to the far end of #RSPBSnettisham on the recommendation of @kettering1 and @johnrmphillips
90 minutes getting frozen watching no Hen Harriers or Short Eared!
The seductive lure of this near-mythical Spectacled Eider on Texel was finally too great and, inevitably, I cracked. While late to the party I’m so pleased to have joined the club!
