I wonder if Oilers Coach Babcock keeps Ekholm and Bouchard together. I think he may spread things out instead. Shea – Bouchard Ekholm – Mukhamadullin Or maybe: Walman – Bouchard Shea – Murphy Having two big defencemen like Ekholm and Mukhamadullin on the Oilers third pairing could be a huge advantage. @OilersNation Need a legit shut down dman. Eckholm showed his age last year and Bouchard is not even close to a top pairing dman. Get in someone in the top pairing and drop Bouchard to 4-5 where he needs to be.

@TopTierPucks Still short a 1-2 dman. Bouchard can’t play that high up. Eckholm is a year older/slower. A quality shut down dman should be the next move. Defence wins championships.
