The TCJA was a $1.5 trillion tax cut (as originally scored). It cut taxes for Americans at every income level. As a share of taxes paid, the lowest-income taxpayers saw some of the largest tax cuts. In $$, it was the opposite because the rich pay the vast majority of taxes.

Kris and I had the year's most uplifting day on the campaign trail yesterday in New Town. It was an honor to be with a packed house for a candidate meet & greet with my fellow District 4A Republican candidates Ron Brugh and Chuck Walen and District 4B Representative Clayton Fegley. We were joined by North Dakota Republican Party Chair Sandi Sanford and District 4 Chair Ben Easling and District 31 Chair Mary Graner. I was honored to be welcomed and hosted by MHA Nation Tribal Chairman Mark Fox, MHA Nation Tribal Councilman Robert White and a host of my relatives from the Knife Clan of the Mandan Tribe.
