Not new. It's litterly been the modus operandi of the USA for... well... basically ever. Maybe now you can see it more clearly or at least you believe you can. People in the right (or wrong) places have seen it through essentially every presidential admin in modern times. Social media, prediction markets, AI, all make the evidence easier to find or it helps make the data fit easier into your narrative. Power likes to be kept. If you are in power you do what you feel is warranted to keep it.

If AI Agents are smart enough to audit, then the future is more likely one where the AI Agents pre-check and vett income sources and the taxpayer is simply required to confirm. Depending on your view of taxes and the processes involved this is either good news or bad news.

Let me be more clear. Currently 4/1000 returns are audited. Soon 1000/1000. Currently it’s estimated that 15-20 percent of people cheat on taxes. Thats a lot!

Unrealized capital gains tax is next level stupidity on the surface. If the goal is to alter the census in near real-time for 'whatever reason' it's a very evil genius at work. Either way one lesson is to gleaned: politics are politicking like never before.

@KevinMurcko @SenSanders You have to know that there was a big drop off in WP subscribers after Jeff Bezos wrote a personal essay in WP explaining why they didn’t endorse a presidential candidate in the 2024 election. Essentially he killed the company he bought, and easily can afford to keep everyone

I'm sitting on 1,000 ounces of silver bars bought physical, did what everyone says to do "Real assets" "Outside the system" "When everything collapses you'll be glad you have it" tried to sell some last week, trying to sell it today refineries won't touch it dealers lowballing 30% under spot banks look at me like I'm selling contraband turns out "owning" something and being able to "exit" something are two very different skills this is the same trap I see in trading people hold positions they can't exit stocks with no volume options with no buyers sitting on "value" that only exists on paper supply & demand lesson learned
