@chaneilcimhoff A one time grant to homeowners for water self sufficiency coupled with a monthly bill credit would be a good idea. APUA collects revenue while the homeowner can actually live with dignity all while reducing the demand on the system so that there is more time to fix the root cause
English

@chaneilcimhoff My humble take. This would’ve been a good use of CIP funds. The whole country needs to get dug up so that these issues can be addressed. Not sure where else there is a pot of money to be had that is in line with the scale of the problem. People could pay Personal…wait nvm.

Access to clean water is a basic human right. The Government has a responsibility to provide citizens and residents with water. For decades, Antigua has had issues with water and though we have seen improvement, there is A LOT of work to be done.

Is investing in a pump and a water tank that expensive? Or u just like to complain about not having water daily? And this is years of complaining

@isadwatson My wife and I are now splitting time between Miami and my home of Antigua. America has its advantages if you stay connected to it. Use them as necessary. Enjoy your Black life elsewhere.

@Ade_W This a question? When your primary access road is hindered by a collapsed sea wall and it goes without love for a year…

@jmoulfrancis We do the public debate a disservice if we do not address the facts as separate from the extreme rhetoric
English

@jmoulfrancis Public reaction is in proportion to the perceived scale of the problem and how identifiable it is. Easier to rail against specific flights carrying 200+ passengers that are believed to not be tourists, than the perceived 1 or 2 US/EU passengers that might come and not go back.
English

@jmoulfrancis The circumstances of the passengers entering Antigua and the implications for our own national security and geopolitical positioning should be of concern whilst firmly setting aside the vile rhetoric.
English

@jmoulfrancis Xenophobia is nothing new in our country and the expected outcome of exported narratives about Africa. I don’t expect everyone to be educated and the responsibility lies with those of us who know better to condemn such hateful perspectives.
English

@jmoulfrancis That viewpoint is extreme. However, the reporting does tell a story of exploitation of desperate migrants sold a dream of ultimately entering into other countries through illegal or legal (asylum) means. To call all or most of them tourists is a bit of a stretch imho
English

@azizalake Yeh I’ve seen posts tinged or soaked with it. Those perspectives are to be condemned. Point. Blank. Period.
Separate from that though the immigration questions are of serious national consequence and those deserve answers.
English

@kevinvmichael Yes.....there has been some disgusting posts that are no longer about immigration issues but a hatred that I've seen play out before in regards to our regional counterparts.
Same script, different cast

@ColinJohn_ Always B my friend. You're taking on the business risk of the client, they're not.

Hadn't seen this documentary yet. Nominated for an Emmy Award. This reminds me why our fight for the Virginia Key Beach Trust is so important.

@jmoulfrancis Didn’t have to listen to know that we are ignorant on these issues. We the same people believing COVID/5G, so yeah…
