The joke was hard to convey in the script since it’s so visual, so I drew a sketch to show how I envisioned the camera moving and the characters reacting.
Apparently Ross thought the bad drawing was funny and recreated it in the final version

If you don't mind me being a lil sappy for a sec. over a decade ago I was pushed by my good friend Monty Oum to make this show after telling him everything about it. After his passing I was filled with determination to make good on that, even if it felt impossible. You'll be happy to know I'm dedicating this pilot to him.

//Gameoverse spoilers This type of dynamic is what I hoped Pibby would have with the other survivors, especially Alloy Boy and Melira. A wholesome preschool show uplifting those around them and encouraging them to help save the world around them. Gobbles and Pibby would be BFFs.

The ‘Gameoverse’ pilot is dedicated to late ‘RWBY’ creator and animator Monty Oum, a close friend of RubberRoss. Ross says Monty inspired him to create the series a decade ago, and after his passing, he promised to one day see it through.
