My daughter befriended a neighborhood girl. Extraordinarily tall, goofy, silly.
“She’s kind of strange, but she’s fun and nice.”
Her mom came by and was quizzing me. Finally, she told me,
“She doesn’t have any friends at school. She’s made fun of all the time. Your kids are the only normal ones around and they’re the only ones who will play with her.”
Within a year, she’d taken both of her daughters out and was homeschooling them.

People are afraid homeschoolers won't experience diversity. Going to the store, doctor, dentist, volunteering at a food pantry or nursing home, you will meet many, many different people. Kids do not need to spend 7 hours a day closed in one building to experience diversity.

I noticed a pattern in my daily habits. I'm feeling zero satisfaction from watching shows or playing video games beyond a time frame of an anime episode.

Germans always use mayo on their fries so i started doing that too and i always noticed that it tasted kinda mustardy but assumed it was bc they probably get mixed since the containers are next to each other. but i was eating some at home last night and noticed it still tasted mustardy. checked the ingredients and it says SENF in big letters. none in American mayo. had no idea. even the Hellman’s adds it for the Euros. the more u know.
