@ChesterTours Amazing! I remember learning in school that the champagne region was at the climatic limit for viticulture and that was why the wine it produces is so special. Perhaps this has been pushed northwards with climate change.

I've previously been compelled to buy alliums from RHS Tatton due to the number of bumblebees on them. They were COVERED!! But this year...virtually empty. Same in most of the gardens and beds. Really highlighted the low number of insects this year compared to previous ones.

As a rider, and let’s not forget, Pete was a top class racer and Olympic Gold medalist, he was fearless. And that lack of fear is evident in his brave, some might say reckless sartorial choices. But we love that attitude, so Pete K is a worthy winner of the Combativity Prize
