What?! You’re joking, right? The UK Office has the same creators of Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant. The pilots of each are nearly identical. It’s the same premise. It’s dead pan, cringe comedy like the UK though the US isn’t as cringe as UK. I don’t get people. Sometimes they feel they have to argue just because they’re on X.

I get this man, I tried a few times and it didn’t hit so I just let it go - I did enjoy some episodes though but holistically it just didn’t work same with breaking bad, peaky blinders, better call saul and a few others. we can’t all like the same things but you can’t deny they are classics - else why are they so popular

They are not the same as office. Not at all, which is why people who hate shows like that live the office. Don’t know what you’re talking about with “dropping things, screaming, having a heart attack.” The show is dead pan comedy and high-brow. Apparently too high-brow for some. 🤷‍♂️ I’ve explained why people like the office. Which comedy shows are your preference and why?

I don’t understand people that don’t understand the show because it’s so different from the played-out laugh track, punchline comedy like Big Bang or Two and half men type stuff. The Office is nothing like those because it’s high brow comedy. Dead pan, dry comedy is more real world and the observational humor is relatable to people in ways they wouldn’t expect. I don’t understand people that don’t get The Office.
