My reputation has been cleared by the ICAC. I will never forgive those that set up a “kangaroo court”, under the guise of a parliamentary inquiry, to investigate the Council I led. It was wrong and hurtful to me and my family, and as I have always said, “the truth will prevail.

It was a pleasure to unveil the much-anticipated Hurlstone Park Community Centre over the weekend. Community members will soon be able to gather at the multi-million dollar facility and make use of the meeting room, kitchenette, accessible amenities and outdoor balcony area.

Today's Citizenship Ceremony was a beautiful display of the multiculturalism in our City! More than 300 people from across the globe, coming together in unity to call our City home. Congratulations to all the new citizens and wishing you all the best for the future.

This Anzac Day, we remember the brave men and women who served our country in battle. As we all enjoy this public holiday, take the time to pause and reflect on those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. Lest we forget.

A historic show of faith by the Muslim community overnight! Thousands of people came together as Haldon Street was closed, a sea of worshippers joining in Tarawih (prayers). Congratulations, and thank you to all who contributed in making this a peaceful and loving Tarawih.

Good Friday is a solemn day for Christians and reflects on the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. His death is a reminder of the sacrifice he made and it's also a reminder of his message of faith and hope. Praying for peace, love and happiness for all in our community.

A pleasure to host last night's special Iftar Dinner for our Muslim community. More than 600 of my Muslim friends came together to celebrate and break their fast at the Grand Vaudeville at Condell Park. I extend my best wishes to our Muslim community during this holy month.

Our City is now 400 citizens stronger! We welcomed the newest citizens to our Australian family in a special citizenship ceremony held at the Orion Theatre in Campsie yesterday. To all the new citizens, congratulations and welcome home.
