Enough time has passed I genuinely think Bandai took advantage of bro and the community back then
No good netcode, tried to fake like battle hour wasn’t on clouds, and then didn’t even work with major heads for a degree of reimbursement (or at least an acknowledged thank you)

@SouthBayMatthay At one point I was holding on to hope that Bandai would work with me on some reimbursement especially since they literally hired me for an event, but it was always a long shot LMAO

I’m gonna take everything I did incorrectly during DBFZ days and do it correctly during Tokon
Not having to spend thousands on cloud servers definitely makes the path clearer

@KevenVr2 @ParagonFGC Most fighting game netcodes aren't strong enough to do events involving multiple continents like that. If Tokon's somehow is, we'll adjust, but so far 2XKO is really the only game to be able to do this without issues

@theUraizen Yeah I was running essentially open lobbies on clouds for 8+ hours a day and running tournaments where I'd have 16-32 servers open at once to accomodate the players. Did that for like a year or 2 straight so it added up pretty quickly

@KhalilTheSeer I had always wondered if the AWS are that much better. I know for damned sure they are for UMvC3 and I haven't even tried them. Guess they are if people were using them for two years.

@KhalilTheSeer Oh, I know all about that god awful netcode at launch. Been playing since the closed beta and still play it to this day. No, really, I just did today. I salute the hell out of you for the lengths you went. I was told people would rent AWS for games, but thousands of dollars?

@theUraizen DBFZ had atrocious netcode and we were in a pandemic, so I rented AWS cloud servers and hosted events, tournaments, and sessions where people could connect to my servers using parsec.
Spent about $7K that I'll never see back but it did lead me to getting contracted by bandai
