Genuinely terrible movie, the messaging was sweet behind it but it was portrayed in such an utterly hamfisted way I did not enjoy it at all.
What's even funnier is that some people walk away from the movie not being able to figure out what the message was meant to be

@theUraizen DBFZ had atrocious netcode and we were in a pandemic, so I rented AWS cloud servers and hosted events, tournaments, and sessions where people could connect to my servers using parsec.
Spent about $7K that I'll never see back but it did lead me to getting contracted by bandai

@TheBeego @PaulAllenME @PalmyrPar I believe the intention behind his statement is meant to be that Paul's prescience is so heavily clouded that he's no longer elevated by that power, so he's not as much of a Messiah as he's been made out to be. He's "human"

Shouldn't need to be said, but the direction they are taking Chani is utterly obnoxious and will obviously eat up valuable screen time and the mental energy of anyone sane, but other than that this seems to be an interesting attempt at spicing up the court drama of Messiah with some earlier conquest stuff.

After watching the ending of Dune: Part 2, I took it as Denis Villeneuve's interpretation of Dune, which I appreciated.
Was the prophecy manufactured by people outside of the Fremen's knowledge? Did someone plant that seed in that civilization's brain? Should all prophecies be regarded with skepticism? The questions are thought-provoking, even if it was leaning at Chani rejecting it in the end.
That said, I'm not looking for political undertones. I just want to see a good story.

Didn’t speak on this earlier, but this has to be one of the most subtle yet heartbreaking moments in the entire film that just feels so utterly human. The fact that an hour prior to this in the movie MJ had shared her dream with Peter to be an actress and make it big and was so happy when he began rooting for her, now she doesn’t want him to know that dream wasn’t fulfilled because he might be disappointed. Only for him to build her back up and tell her it’s okay to stumble or take an unexpected detour in life, as long as you maintain your pride and sense of self.
That is, in my opinion, the most Spider-Man thing ever.

I went to a family July 4th party last night, and my mom and dad were there. It's the first time I've seen them in-person since I came out. I thought it was going okay, but right before I left, my mom found an opportunity to corner me and berate me about all of my life choices.
