Big thanks to the GAMES GROUND team in Berlin for inviting me last week to talk about 'Storytelling as a Creative Force in Art Direction for UI.' I shared my approach to making concept-driven art decisions to create more impactful and tailored UI visuals.

Very sad to learn that one of my heroes, Danny Yount, is no longer with us. My thoughts are with him and his family.

The Artemis II mission reminds me of these 1960s photos of NASA astronauts training in Iceland because they felt the terrain would be similar to what they'd encounter on the moon. The outfits are so great, even some 60 years later.

@dieworkwear 2 years ago, I gave myself a Platinum Izumo, a Urushi Fountai Pen, and it has been a formidable companion on my daily morning journaling.

Should I ever be lucky enough to buy a home, I will sign the document with a Nakaya pen. I don't actually like their nibs (too stiff for my taste ☹️), but the bodies are beautiful and a signature doesn't take long to write anyway.

I don't understand why the Prez doesn't use a fountain pen. A Sharpie is undignified for such important docs. Several companies, such as Franklin-Christoph and Edison Pen Co., make fountain pens in the US for about $150/ pen. Not an unreasonable expense for a man in a gold room.
