Saddened by the passing of legendary playback singer and the “Nightingale of South India”, S. Janaki Amma. For over six decades, her golden voice transcended several languages and generations, enriching Indian music with countless timeless melodies and became an inseparable part of our cultural consciousness. My deepest condolences to her family, admirers and the entire fraternity of Indian music and cinema.

The tragic boat capsizing near Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, carrying Indian tourists, is deeply distressing. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and pray for strength and courage for those anxiously awaiting news of their missing family members. I urge the Ministry of External Affairs to closely monitor the situation, work in constant coordination with the Vietnamese authorities, and ensure that every possible effort is made in the rescue operations. All necessary assistance and support must be extended to the affected Indian families during this difficult time.

मध्यप्रदेश आज भाजपा सरकार के भ्रष्टाचार और लूट का केंद्र और भ्रष्टाचार का पर्याय बन चुका है। एक घोटाला खत्म नहीं होता, दूसरा सामने आ जाता है। अब Ethanol के नाम पर ₹1200 करोड़ का चावल घोटाला सामने आया है। जिस चावल को कुपोषित बच्चों, गर्भवती महिलाओं और किशोरियों के पोषण के लिए इस्तेमाल होना था, उसी चावल को मुनाफे के खेल में घुमाया गया। 5 लाख MT चावल, राइस मिलरों, एथेनॉल माफिया और भाजपा सरकार के संरक्षण में भ्रष्टाचार के इस खेल का हिस्सा बना दिया गया। भाजपा और सरकारी तंत्र की मिलीभगत से जनता के हक के अनाज पर डाका डाला जा रहा है। इसके पहले जमीनों के मामले में बड़ा घोटाला सामने आया। उज्जैन में उन्हीं इलाकों में जमीनों का विस्तार हुआ, जहाँ सरकारी infrastructure project और Highway Corridor प्रस्तावित थे। इसमें मुख्यमंत्री जी के ऊपर ही सवालिया निसान खड़े हुए। हर तरफ, हर विभाग में लूट और अपनी जेबें भरने का खेल, यही भाजपा की सत्ता की लूट की कहानी है। व्यापम से शुरू हुई यह लूट, अनगिनत पेपर लीक, भ्रष्टाचार के अनगिनत मामलों के बावजूद आज भी थमी नहीं है। भाजपा ने मध्यप्रदेश को भ्रष्टाचार का मॉडल बना दिया है और मोदी जी हर बार की तरह बस मौन साधे बैठे रहते हैं। सार्वजनिक जीवन में जवाबदेही की धारणा को मोदी-शाह ने सत्ता के अहंकार तले रौंद दिया है।

मेरठ की दलित छात्रा ललिता गौतम की निर्मम हत्या ने भाजपा की डबल इंजन सरकार का महिला एवं दलित विरोधी चेहरा एक बार फिर बेनक़ाब कर दिया है। पीड़ित परिवार न्याय की गुहार लगा रहा है, लेकिन सरकार उसकी आवाज़ सुनने के बजाय न्याय की माँग करने वालों को ही कुचलने में लगी है। NCRB के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 2013 से 2024 के बीच देश में महिलाओं के विरुद्ध दर्ज अपराध लगभग 42.6% और अनुसूचित जातियों के विरुद्ध अपराध लगभग 41% बढ़े। देश में हर 2 घंटे 3 मिनट में अनुसूचित जाति (SC) की एक महिला के साथ बलात्कार होता है, यानी हर दिन 12 दलित महिलाओं के साथ दुष्कर्म के मामले दर्ज होते हैं। ये केवल आंकड़े नहीं, भाजपा शासन में महिलाओं, दलितों और वंचितों की बढ़ती असुरक्षा का प्रमाण हैं। जब कांग्रेस नेता पीड़ित परिवार के साथ खड़े होने पहुंचते हैं, तो उन्हें गिरफ्तार, नजरबंद और लाठियों से रोका जाता है। आखिर योगी सरकार किस सच को छिपाना चाहती है? विपक्ष को परिवार से मिलने से क्यों रोका जा रहा है? परिवार की बात सुनकर उसे न्याय देने के बजाय पुलिसिया दमन क्यों किया जा रहा है? हाथरस और उन्नाव में भी देश ने देखा था कि भाजपा सरकार ने किस तरह पीड़ितों की आवाज़ दबाई और सत्ता से जुड़े लोगों को बचाने की कोशिश की। अब मेरठ में वही दमनकारी रवैया दोहराया जा रहा है। पीड़िता के परिवार को न्याय चाहिए, लाठियां और नजरबंदी नहीं। दोषियों को कठोरतम सजा मिले और पीड़ित परिवार की आवाज़ दबाना तत्काल बंद हो! याद रहे…दलितों-वंचितों-मजलूमों की आवाज़ का उफान भाजपाई सत्ता के सिंहासन को जल्द उखाड़ फेंकेगा !!

6 years ago, PM @narendramodi handed over a CLEAN CHIT to China, after our 20 brave soldiers made the supreme sacrifice in Galwan. Our breavehearts chose martyrdom, but Modi Govt has surrendered India's interests to China. Dependency on China runs through the most critical arteries of our economy, ones that our supposed to define India's future. 1⃣Trade: Since Galwan, imports from China have exploded by a staggering 101.81% by 2025-26, hurtling India's trade deficit to a crushing $112.1 billion. 2⃣Medicines: China supplied a jaw-dropping 86% of India's antibiotic imports. Why? China cornered nearly 74% of India's API, bulk drug, and drug intermediate imports in 2024-25. 3⃣EVs: 66% of India's EV component imports still flow from China. Nearly 75% of lithium-ion batteries powering Indian EVs are imported, and the overwhelming bulk of them are Chinese. India imported nearly 93% of permanent magnets from China in 2025-26. 4⃣Solar Power: For all the hollow talks by Modi Govt on Solar Energy, it is appalling that China supplied more than 99% of India's undiffused silicon wafer imports in 2025-26, near total capture of a sector Modi ji's claims to champion under Atmanirbhar Bharat. These undiffused silicon wafer are the foundation of our solar cells. Now Modi Govt has even rolled out the red carpet for his "Jhoola Friend", relaxing restrictions to let four Chinese companies bid for India's own government power projects. Civil society assertions and reports tell that China continues to encroach on Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Its role in Pakistan's actions during Operation Sindoor was acknowledged by none less than the Deputy Chief of Army Staff and stands officially documented. Modi Govt has hurt India's National Interests by letting Beijing capture India's most critical industries, since Galwan. Now they are opening more opportunities for the Chinese to flourish under the lens of his tinted "Laal Aankh" !

A visionary and compassionate leader, he dedicated his life to the welfare and progress of the people of Andhra Pradesh. His unbridled commitment to farmers, the poor, and the marginalised, along with his immense dedication to the Congress party, remains an enduring legacy.

The landslide in Wayanad is deeply distressing. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragic disaster. The Chief Minister is personally monitoring the relief and rescue operations, and every effort is being made to provide timely assistance to those in need. I appeal to all Congress and UDF workers to stand with the affected families and extend every possible support during this difficult time. Modi Govt's policies are responsible for hurting India's global reputation. PM Modi claimed in 2018: "People travelling and living abroad know the respect and strength of the Indian passport today." Where is that "strength" reflected? Facts bely his assertions. ✈️In one global passport ranking, India has fallen from 74th in 2013 to 80th in June 2026. [World Economic Forum] Another global passport index places India at a dismal 125th in 2026. [Global Citizen Solutions] ⏫Instead of improving services, the Modi Govt has made passports more expensive. Passport fees have been hiked from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, while Tatkal charges have gone up to ₹5,000. 🛬 Even with respect to the ease of travelling to India, Foreign Tourist Arrivats are still below pre-COVID levels: They have dropped from 10.93 million (2019) to 9.95 million (2024). Is the Modi Govt masking this failure by clubbing NRI arrivals with foreign tourist data? 🖥️Why is India's official visa application portal still so outdated and confusing that it resembles a website from the late 1990s? No one in India, the land of "Atithi Devo Bhava" wants to welcome the tourists like this? If the passport is weaker, tourism has not recovered, visa services are lacklustre and citizens are paying more for substandard services, then where exactly is this much-advertised global respect? A distinguished freedom fighter, educationist, social reformer, and a member of the Constituent Assembly, Hansa Mehta devoted her life to advancing women’s rights, gender equality, and social justice, guided by Gandhian ideals. Her enduring contribution to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights helped affirm the principle that all human beings are born free and equal. The devastating floods and landslides in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim have claimed precious lives and left thousands of families displaced and devastated. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and stand in unwavering solidarity with every person affected by this tragedy across the Northeastern region. All the tall promises by “Double Engine” NDA Governments to the people of Northeast to make their states “flood free” (See: BJP’s Assam Vision Document, 2016) have disappeared in thin air, even as flood has become a regular annual feature with little preparedness and scarce long-term mitigation efforts. The Modi Govt cannot afford to treat this as another routine disaster response. It must immediately utilise the PM CARES Fund to provide adequate compensation, comprehensive rehabilitation and sustained relief to every affected family. While India is proud of our brave Armed Forces, NDRF & SDRF teams who are working tirelessly to rescue stranded people and support relief operations, the scale of this humanitarian crisis demands a far stronger response. The Government must urgently deploy additional personnel, resources and financial assistance to intensify rescue efforts, rebuild damaged infrastructure and ensure that no affected family is left behind. The Congress party leaders and workers must assist and aid the victims in flood prone areas.
