@SofaGon22211840 Koitar is referred to as Phanes’ first daughter and most exalted angel so the title of dawn being associated with both would be sensible, especially with Phanes being referred to as the morning star (Venus’ day star) which appears around dawn and aligns with their name.
@khasdeis While the morning star appears frequently in their lore,it's important to remember that Koitar is called "Dawn's daughter" and genshin compares dawn to fate. It's possible that here the morning stars represent the inevitable change, hence why the flowers withered under their light
People are assuming the Heavenly Principles will look like Kevin / Phainon simply because Phanes and Phainon share the same word root. But I believe people are missing the actual reason behind those names. A small thread🧵
@SofaGon22211840 Deshret is also said to be a “son of the sky” just as Phanes is referred to as the “Lord of the Sky” and Deshret’s symbol is a sun. Both Nibelung and Phanes are associated with light but Phanes’ light is described as one to “blaze” or to be “scorching” (heat associations).
@SofaGon22211840 It seems that at the very least, Aubade describes Phanes altering the structure of Teyvat as “the sun’s fierce light” sweeping through what exists save for the moons:
