@Jennylouwho81 A few years ago, I got some tulip bulbs and planted perhaps a dozen or 18 in a particular planting bed. They no longer grow there, but a few of them pop up at unexpected places around the yard, transplanted by bushy-tailed mini gardeners.

@OperaCreep I'm sorry to read this news. I really like a lot of what the company has done under Devan; they've been very forward-thinking. I wish they had been rewarded with a more resounding response from audiences and donors.

Hold up there, Jelly Roll. “Throwing up prayers like Hail Marys?” But seriously, is there a term for when a metaphorical meaning overwhelms the primary meaning so much that the primary meaning is open to metaphor again? Maybe this line is brilliant?

Two years ago I came to @arenadiverona and there was a strike so they did Aida with piano accompaniment. Last year my accommodations fell through and I couldn’t find a replacement. Will this year be 3rd time lucky?
