Is Arteta asking too much from Arsenal fans and is it time for him to just DELIVER! 🧐

SUZUKI x 100 👏
Nick Suzuki becomes just the fifth player in @CanadiensMTL history to record a 100-point campaign and the first since Mats Naslund in 1985-86! 💥

@CalvinEkpiteta City have an abundance of quality. Your guy wants to use the money to buy players like Haverts, Dueke n Gordon

@Niyi_23 The moment he signed Havertz instead of a technical maestro to build on one of the finest free-flowing footy we had played 2023/2024.

@Niyi_23 The only year it felt like he may be the guy is 22 season where saliba got injured,we had an excuse, every other season he looks like not the guy. This season he is exposed completely. All words no action, complete loser, no talent ID n no tactics, doesnt learn, not good enough

@Niyi_23 Villa at home and Bayern away in 23/24, the way tuchel schooled arteta over both legs and arteta randomly moving havertz into midfield against villa for the sake of his ego really showed me that he's out of his depth and surprise surprise he's made no progress since

He left Arteta’s regime and went invincible with Leverkusen 👏

Granit Xhaka in 2022, after Arsenal had a UCL qualification blow. 🗣️“If someone is not ready for this game, stay at home. If you’re nervous, stay at home. Don’t come here. We need people to have balls.” Think this still applies…

I'm thinking out loud here but I wonder if there's method to the idea that I have - is it not just far more mentally exhausting to coach such rigidity & structured football [in-out possession] that it is to coach a more "free-flowing" attacking side. If you're overthinking everything tactically as an individual on both sides of the ball, surely burnout has to be thought about?
I listened to Cherki & Guehi talk after the game and they seem so relaxed, almost like they've been on holiday. But it's a direct effect of how they [esp Cherki] play. They have licence to move, they have options around, a more simple role off the ball, they are allowed many mistakes because they get the ball to the best players so often.
I'm just rambling here, but psychologically the burnout on such an overloaded [information-wise] idea is naturally far more draining. When it's executed you get the perfect idea of football - good value shots on the opposition's goal, next to no value shots on your own goal. But if it hits a bump and you're still trying to excuse everything all at once, I can imagine it's very easy to get stuck in a place where you become comfortably numb; pass, show, mark man... Idk.
