🚨 JUST IN: Judge Merchan has told the jury they do NOT need unanimity to convict.
This means:
➡️ Four jurors could agree on the first crime (Falsifying Records)
➡️ Four on the second (Tax Violations)
➡️ Four on the third (Fed. Election Violations)
And Merchan would STILL count that as a unanimous guilty verdict from the twelve member jury.

I do NOT believe this judge came up with the jury instructions on his own; I have to believe he had help, perhaps from some professor. It's just my gut instinct. Yes, the instructions were horrendous, but the judge strikes me as a moron, likely beyond his capacity to twist, spin, and invent "the law" so thoroughly and completely.
