🚨 Missing Meru Teacher Known for Vocal Criticism of Local MP Found Dead in Nyambene Forest❗
Decomposed remains discovered hanging from a tree deep inside Nyambene Forest in Meru County last week have been identified as those of Fredrick Gitiye, a Biology teacher at Kindani Secondary School in Igembe South Constituency who had been reported missing since December 23, 2025, when he was last seen in Maua, bringing to a tragic end months of anguished searching by a family that had held onto hope he would be found alive.
Gitiye, who was known in the region as a vocal critic of Igembe South Member of Parliament John Paul Mwirigi, the legislator who made national headlines when he was elected the youngest MP in the 12th Parliament, was found by a Kenya Forest Service officer whose routine patrol through the forest led to the discovery of remains that police say had been at the scene for several months, consistent with the timeline of his disappearance, with the body in an advanced state of decomposition, some limbs missing, and a piece of cloth tied around the neck.

This is Bernadette Keziah Matuki
She was 8 years old. A pupil at Little Angels in Kilifi
Keziah went missing yesterday at her home in Mwenzagombe (Bofa) and her family spent most of the day and night looking for her. Her little body was found today dumped near Saint Patrick dumped by the road.
She had been defiled, her hands broken , injured , bleeding and dumped naked. She was in that exact outfit when she disappeared. Her body was taken to Kilifi Hospital for postmortem.
Her family is asking for justice. Help us amplify to the authorities.
This is Femicide

Mary Ongar asked me to thank every single person who has called, prayed, shared her story and sent whatever little they could to support her.
Wonderful people, the response has overwhelmed her emotionally.
Today I watched an old woman who had almost lost hope break down in tears because strangers somewhere chose kindness.
For the first time in a long time, she feels seen.
She feels remembered.
She feels loved.
She kept saying:
“I did not know people still cared.”
Some of the amounts sent may look small to others, but to Mary they mean food, dignity, hope and another reason to keep fighting.
This has reminded me that humanity is still alive among ordinary Kenyans even when times are hard for everyone.
Thank you for proving that compassion still exists.
Thank you for refusing to scroll past her pain.
Thank you for becoming the answer to a prayer she had carried silently for years.
May God bless every hand that gave, every person who shared the message and every soul that stood with Mary Ongar.
Please continue standing with her 0700393695.
The journey is not over yet, but today an old woman somewhere in Sidindi near Kutana is sleeping with hope in her heart instead of despair.
And that matters. Glory to God the provider. May your acts of kindness be the reason he opens doors for you and me.

Today on my way to Sidindi market, I witnessed something that has shaken me deeply.
I had stopped briefly to greet a neighbour when an elderly woman approached him and humbly asked if he could give her any work to do, even if it was just weeding a small section of his farm so she could earn something to buy food.
The neighbour looked at her sadly and told her she was too weak to work. He said her body looked frail, her legs could barely support her, and she needed rest more than labour. He even told her she should be at home as her children or grandchildren take care of her at her age.
But the painful truth is this woman has no children.
No grandchildren.
No husband.
No one.
The man reached into his pocket and gave her Ksh 50. She bent slowly in gratitude, thanked him respectfully, and walked away struggling.
I tried to continue with my journey, but something inside me refused.
I stopped greeting the neighbour midway and followed her.
She led me to her small home near Kutana and I promised her I would return later in the day.
Today I kept that promise.
And that is when the full reality hit me.
Her name is Mary Ongar.
Her number is 0700393695.
I found her living alone in a collapsing house. Her legs are badly bent and deformed, her body weak, and every movement she makes is painful to watch. Yet despite everything, she still smiled and thanked God for life.
When I asked her who takes care of her, she quietly answered:
“Jesus is my husband.”
Those words broke me completely.
Wonderful people, this is the reality many villagers are facing silently. People are not refusing to help because they are heartless. Everyone is struggling. Hunger, poverty and hopelessness have become normal in many homes.
Meanwhile leaders are busy in Nairobi trading insults, propaganda and endless politics while forgotten Kenyans like Mary suffer alone without food, proper shelter, roads, healthcare or dignity.
Mary is not asking for millions.
She only asked for a small chance to survive:
A sack of omena.
A crate of onions.
A small business she can manage to feed herself.
That is all.
I am pleading with every compassionate Kenyan:
Please let us stand with Mary Ongar.
Ksh 10.
Ksh 20.
Ksh 50.
Ksh 100.
Anything small can help.
Her number is:
0700393695
Please do not ignore her.
Sometimes humanity is measured by whether we stop when others are suffering.
Let us remind this old woman that she is not alone.

A grumpy man can control a family without ever raising his voice. He just has to make his displeasure expensive enough. A long silence at dinner. A ruined car ride. Soon, everyone starts pre-adjusting. The kids are told “not now” before they can ask. She chooses the restaurant he likes, the movie he won’t complain through, the route that avoids traffic because traffic makes him unbearable. This is how a household becomes organized around one person’s refusal to regulate themselves.

The gift she has given her child, she may not even be fully aware of, so many young girls need this skill before their teenage years when they are bound to meet more of this kind of girls
