I thought Scott Hamilton’s explanation was perfect and quite moving. Describing this lightness of freeing yourself from all these demands and how everyone can feel that.



There are real-world examples of this. It’s good in some ways and bad in others. But sometime in the last 15 years every sports writer started to write everything as if they were the president of the players’ union for some reason, so we can’t acknowledge trade-offs
