@NigelVardy @Derbyshirecc The car park may have been closed, but it didn't stop people moving the signs and cones and parking in it anyway (I saw as I fought my way home through the parked cars). An utter failure of common sense from the masses it would seem.

@Derbyshirecc Man Tor car park is closed and it’s a long way from the start of the race. Tourism at its worst…

We have issues with cars double parked on Rushup Edge and Man Nick on the road down to Edale. Our gritters cannot get through with around 200 cars in the area. Please move your car if you are in the area. If we can't get through neither would a bus or fire engine. Thanks.

While another shot was far more popular in the gauntlet of likes & shares, I'm going with this one for #FSPrintMonday #ShareMondays2024 #APPicOfTheWeek this week. It was a calmer moment and an image that I felt more connected with as I was shooting (if that's not all artyfarty)

I have a favourite little spot in a popular #PeakDistrict woodland - I don't tend to see many other folk shooting it, which is why I like it, so I've revisited it for the past few years. This is how it was looking the other day. Glad I called in.
