@Rayaan_Pog The starting area has to look the best, its some of the most important visual parts. Thats why the intro of toriel driving through the town and FoHaD are so high effort/different from undertale. It shows off the new environment, better colors and the first dark world.

@hitk209 I dont really think knowing 100% the roaring is going to happen from the jump is a bad thing at all

ok but it kinda is a design flaw because imagine you just got deltarune 2 years after the game ended and after beating chapter 1 and learning about the roaring and shit you see chapter 7 titled "the roaring"
