My thing is, them same people know damn well they weren't watching Brentford play the likes of West Ham, Burnley etc. They tuned in once every 8 weeks to watch them play a team of note and then selectively remembered the few games with an upset.

People that had this attitude re Poch - instead of recognising we were 3 windows behind in building/maintaining the squad because we went 3 windows with no signings - are the reason this spiral into utter farce happened in the first place.

Reminder that when Poch was sacked we were 13th or 14th ... but about 5 points from the top 6. It was November. And we had always been worse between August and Christmas during his tenure.

If we go for Poch there will be no evidence we've actually learned what the problem is with our managerial recruitment process. Even though I think he'd be an infinitely better appointment than Frank, the board would only do it for nostalgia's sake and for the lack of other ideas

@king26ledley Plus, every manager that wants technically proficient players also wants them to be physically impressive. That's how we ended up with VDV. When we've signed a technical player that isn't physical, it's always been a spend-shy punt on the hope they'll bulk and adapt

@king26ledley I agree that being physically impressive is a very good thing but making it a priority like we made finding a pragmatic manager a priority is a mistake. We'll end up with Joelinton in midfield when what we actually need is a progressive passer.
