@BenGrahamUK I own two of Banksy's works. While his method of expressing his political views might be considered trespassing in some countries, I approve of him expressing his thoughts in a tangible form. It is illegal to assist in the unauthorized placement of objects in public places.

A politically charged Banksy installation pops up overnight in central London right before local elections. Which Labour are projected to lose, badly. In a city this controlled, does anything like that go up without the knowledge, or blessing of Sadiq Khan?

NEW “BANKSY” STATUE MYSTERIOUSLY APPEARS OVERNIGHT IN CENTRAL LONDON There is zero chance this was put up without the full blessing of the authorities. Banksy isn’t some anti-establishment rebel - he’s very much part of the system. Sadiq Khan will have signed this off without question.

@BenGrahamUK Generally, Japanese multi-course meals begin with lightly flavored dishes and gradually progress to more intensely flavored ones, designed to leave you feeling satisfied at the end of the meal. I often use clear soy sauce.

Good morning, Japan 🇯🇵 In the UK we’ve got a few classic sauces we use on just about everything, tomato ketchup, brown sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. I’m curious though… what are your go to sauces or condiments in Japan that you think really bring food to life? Would love to hear what you use day to day 🍜

@BenGrahamUK In Japan, a pack of 20 cigarettes costs around 600 yen. The reason is that the sale of nicotine liquid is strictly restricted by law in Japan.

People have been pointing this out for years, vape shops popping up everywhere, always empty, yet some small towns have 5+ of them. At a time when high streets are struggling, how are so many of these businesses viable? There seems to be very little demand for these shops.

Why are criminal gangs taking over our high street? Sky's @ShingiMararike looks at the shops popping up on our high streets – and some of them are not quite what they seem. Read more UK news here: trib.al/VEaigGQ

@BenGrahamUK I sometimes use our company's helicopter for daily travel. While bullet trains and other trains are convenient for accessing urban areas, they are not suitable for accessing mountainous regions or coastal areas.

@kimejiii That is a long time away but this is such a technological advancement, it will be worth the wait. Would you prefer it to just connect to the main cities and be finished faster?

Good morning Japan 🇯🇵 I’ve been reading about the Chūō Shinkansen Maglev project, with projected speeds of 505 km/h, it’s genuinely fascinating to see what next generation rail can achieve. In the UK, we’re taking a more traditional approach with HS2, which has faced delays and rising costs, and isn’t pushing the same technological boundaries. I’d be really interested to hear your perspective: What are your thoughts on Maglev technology, is it the future of rail, or are the costs and challenges too significant to justify widespread adoption?

My impressions of traveling in the UK 1. They drink a lot of tea. 2. They often talk about the weather, even with people they've just met. 3. They love pubs. 4. They like waiting in lines. 5. They have dogs everywhere they go. 6. Christmas is the most important day of the year.

@BenGrahamUK Excessive arrest tactics by police officers are often seen in the United States and other countries, partly because it is far easier for ordinary citizens to obtain weapons than in Japan. However, I think kicking someone in the head is going too far.

Watching this unfold, I think this is going to raise serious questions about use of force. In my opinion, the suspect still had a knife in his hand, a lethal threat, so officers had to act aggressively & decisively. But those kicks to the head will be heavily scrutinised. Is this justified force in a life threatening situation, or does it cross the line?
Chris Rose@ArchRose90

Credit to the Met Police officers who detained the suspect in Golders Green after he stabbed two Jewish people, preventing an even worse outcome. My only criticism is that they didn’t kick him hard enough.

Interesting move from Jet2 pushing for a national database of disruptive passengers. I get the problem, no one wants chaos at 30,000 feet. But do we really need more centralised control and government oversight? Airlines already have the power to refuse service and ban passengers. Why isn’t that enough? Feels like another step toward overreach when the private sector could handle it. Curious where people land on this, sensible safety measure, or unnecessary expansion of control?

@BenGrahamUK If one person causes trouble at 40,000 feet, that behavior could turn the plane into a giant coffin. If someone who repeatedly causes trouble on airplanes, rowing a boat is one option if you absolutely must travel.

@pueo808hi Repeated offenders I agree, but I also realise if someone gets a one off instant ban it would stop their ability to travel. Maybe airline staff should start wearing body cams.
