Yesterday, I was honored to attend a Yom HaShoah commemoration at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center.
Yom HaShoah is a solemn time to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, to honor the lives lost, and to reflect on the devastating consequences of hatred, antisemitism, and silence.
Hearing from Bertha Strauss, a Holocaust survivor, was incredibly powerful and deeply moving. Her testimony was a reminder that remembrance is a responsibility.
I am grateful to the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center for providing such a powerful opportunity to reflect, remember, and recommit ourselves to standing against antisemitism and hatred in all its forms.
