Trauma survivors cannot imagine something they have not seen or ever experienced. You cannot look for what you do not know. Your gentleness, kind words and bestowed dignity have suddenly let the survivor know that such things are real AND that they can actually happen to them.

The topic of failure remains one of my favorites. What I have learned is to appreciate all of my efforts. Trying anything takes courage, plus, it means that we are showing up for ourselves, so = self-love. Its a victory to learn how to respond to ourselves compassionately.💜
