I think the issue is the first wave of artists between 1980-2020’s set the bar so high for content whether it was Movies, Music, Pop Culture, Hip-Hop/Rap, Country music etc, that now all everyone is trying to do is replicate that feeling but it just isn’t there. No superstars left. Y’all are going so far as to letting anyone pick up a mic and when people aren’t receptive they’re bitter. No stop looking for replacements for people who are still alive and active. I am not listening to anyone who sounds remotely close to another artist.

Streaming kind of ruined album quality unintentionally. Where it was once you chose the best songs or the ones 1-17 that were guaranteed hits to form an album . Now its just automatically 30 songs that don’t have the same vibe

It happens a lot too. There’s albums that they’ll rate extremely high for no reason at all and it has no culture relevance and usually doesn’t even produce quality work that’s lasting.

Pitchfork honestly has to stop showing their biased views in their articles. Half the time it’s very obvious they do not fuck with someone so they really weren’t going to listen to it with a clear mind anyway.
